Carpet; After the weft throwing (back ropes) according to the pattern of the desired pile height of the thread made by passing the knot in the house and generally used as a ground cover. It is also seen in some houses on the wall. The origin of the carpet comes from the Anatolian Seljuk State. Kilim and carpet are different: Kilim is a thin carpet type. The first known carpets in the world are woven by the Turks in Central Asia. The oldest example of these carpets that survived until today is 6-5 BC. It is known to have been built in centuries and even today it is hiding in the Leningrad Museum.  This carpet is known as Pazırık Carpet. Carpet is a material that emerges as a result of people seeking a comfortable and warm floor and holds an important place in home decoration. Its history is as old as human history. People first used animal skins to create a warm floor. As their needs increased, because they could not find animal skins that fit their needs, they produced post imitation mats. Over time, they reached out to the coarse examples of today's carpet by motifring their loved ones. In short, carpet is one of the first products of human beings' struggle against nature and adapting to nature. The carpet, which has survived until today, holds an important place in our lives financially, socially and culturally. Carpets and rugs are the main elements of home decoration in both Turks and Eastern countries. The carpet sector, which uses the advantages of modern technology without end, is constantly renewing itself.
